From Assessment to Power-On

A straightforward path, managed by one team the whole way.

Site Assessment

We evaluate your roof or land, energy usage, and utility situation, then design a system sized to your goals and budget.

Design & Quote

A complete proposal — equipment, electrical scope, timeline, and pricing — with parts sourced directly through our distributor.

Install & Inspect

Certified installation and licensed electrical work, coordinated as one crew, through permitting, inspection, and utility interconnection.

Service & Support

Monitoring, maintenance, and repairs backed by the same team that built the system — with parts on hand, not on backorder.

Keep the Power On

Panels alone shut off when the grid goes down. Add battery storage and your home rides through outages and shaves expensive peak-rate hours — solar you can actually use after dark, and to charge your EV.

An electric car charging in the driveway of a modern home with rooftop solar panels

Backup Through Outages

Keep the essentials running — lights, fridge, medical devices, Wi-Fi, and a well pump — when the grid fails. Size the battery to a few critical circuits or the whole home.

Beat Peak Rates

Store cheap midday solar and use it during expensive evening peak pricing (or time-of-use plans), so more of every kilowatt-hour you generate offsets your bill.

Add Now or Later

Battery-ready inverters mean you can start with panels and add storage down the road — no rip-and-replace. The estimator lets you price it either way.

Backup duration depends on battery capacity, how much you run during an outage, and how much sun the panels get to recharge. Actual runtime varies and is confirmed with a real system design — figures here are illustrative and not a guarantee.

Solar for Business

Warehouses, retail, offices, agriculture, and multi-site operators — turn roof space and parking lots into a lower, predictable energy line item.

Cut Operating Costs

Offset daytime load and trim peak demand charges — often the largest, most volatile part of a commercial utility bill — with a system sized to your meter data.

Tax & Depreciation Upside

Businesses may combine the federal investment credit with accelerated depreciation (MACRS) on qualifying systems. We coordinate with your accountant — this is not tax advice.

$0-Down Structures

Own it, finance it, or use a commercial PPA/lease so solar shows up as savings from day one with little or no upfront capital.

Rooftops, Carports & Ground

Flat-roof ballasted arrays, solar carports that also shade parking, and ground-mount fields — engineered and permitted for commercial code.

Scalable & Multi-Site

From a single storefront to a portfolio of locations, with staged rollouts and one team coordinating design, install, and interconnection across sites.

Resilience & Monitoring

Add commercial battery storage for demand management and backup, with production monitoring and a service contract to protect uptime.

This is an estimate only — not a contract and not an offer. The numbers above are a rough, automated ballpark generated from the figures you entered. They are subject to change and do not account for your actual roof, shading, orientation, utility rate plan, permitting, or a site inspection. Nothing here binds you or Albright Solar to any price, product, or agreement. Honest inputs give you a more useful estimate, but no answer you provide creates any obligation. *The 30% figure references the current federal residential clean-energy credit and is not tax advice; your eligibility and benefit depend on your own tax situation and tax liability — consult a tax professional. The credit and other incentives go to the system's owner, so they apply when you buy with cash or a loan; with a lease or power-purchase agreement (PPA) the provider owns the system and typically claims them, and this estimate would not apply. Payback and 25-year savings assume electricity prices rise about 2.5% a year and that savings track your current bill; real results depend on rates, sun, and usage and are not guaranteed. A real, firm quote requires a free consultation.
How we calculate this estimate
We keep the math simple and honest so you can sanity-check it: we turn your monthly bill into estimated yearly usage (assuming about $0.16 per kWh), size a system to cover roughly 90% of it, then reduce production for shading and roof direction so shaded or north-facing roofs show a larger system. Cost starts near $3.00 per watt and is nudged by your state and roof type; batteries, EV charging, and a new roof add rough flat amounts. We then apply the 30% federal credit, estimate savings from your current bill, and project payback and 25-year value assuming ~2.5%/yr rate increases. These are rounded rules of thumb — your real numbers come from a site visit and a written proposal.

Ways to Pay — Including $0 Down

Own it, finance it, or pay as you go. We work with multiple lenders so more customers qualify.

Cash Purchase

Buy the system outright for the lowest lifetime cost and the full federal credit and incentives where you qualify.

Solar Loan

$0-down financing that spreads the cost into monthly payments — you still own the system and its incentives.

Lease

A third party owns and maintains the system; you pay a fixed monthly amount to use it, with little or nothing down. You don't own it and don't receive the tax credit or incentives, and the payment may rise a set amount each year — review the term and any escalator.

Power Purchase (PPA)

A third party owns the panels on your roof; instead of a fixed lease payment, you buy the electricity they produce at a set per-kWh rate — often starting below your utility's. Little or nothing down and maintenance is included, but you don't own the system or get the tax credit, the rate may rise each year, it's a long-term contract, and it typically transfers to the buyer if you sell your home. Read the term, rate, and escalator before signing.

Understanding a Solar PPA — benefits & considerations

A Power Purchase Agreement lets a third-party developer own the system while you buy the power it produces. Here is a balanced look, so you can compare it against buying or leasing.

Potential benefits

  • No or low upfront cost: the developer pays to size, buy, and install the system, so you can go solar with little or nothing down and start saving once it's running.
  • Predictable energy cost: PPAs are usually structured one of two ways — a fixed-escalator plan where the rate rises a set amount each year (typically 2%–5%, often below projected utility increases), or a fixed-price plan that holds the rate flat for the term (saving more as utility prices climb).
  • Limited performance risk: the developer is responsible for the system's performance, operation, and maintenance.
  • Tax-credit leverage for some hosts: developers are often better positioned to use available tax credits — this especially helps tax-exempt hosts (e.g. municipalities or public entities) that could not otherwise claim the Section 48 Investment Tax Credit.
  • Property value & transferability: solar has been shown to raise property values, and because PPAs are long-term they can typically transfer with the home — a way to add solar at little or no cost.

Things to consider

  • SRECs: Solar Renewable Energy Credits certify solar generation and can be bought and sold. In most PPAs the developer owns the SRECs — clarify who owns and can sell them, the risks, and how that affects the PPA price.
  • Compare all options: third-party models have real benefits, but buying outright has its own; weigh each against your situation.
  • Site upgrades: even though the developer installs and maintains the system, you may need to invest in your property first — for example roof repairs or trimming trees that shade the array.
  • Possible higher property taxes: a higher property value can lead to a reassessment and higher property taxes; policies vary by state.

Apply for Credit / Financing Talk to Us First
Financing is offered through third-party lenders and is subject to credit approval; rates, terms, and availability vary and are not guaranteed. Submitting an application does not obligate you to purchase and does not guarantee approval. This is not a commitment to lend. When you buy the system (cash or loan) you own it and may claim the federal credit and incentives; with a lease or PPA the provider owns the system and typically keeps those incentives. Ask for every rate, fee, and payment schedule in writing before you sign, and watch for low teaser payments that rise in later years.

Certified, Insured, Warrantied

The protections behind every install — so your home, your budget, and your system are covered.

Certified Installers

Installation by a certified solar partner and all electrical work by a licensed electrician — inspected and utility-approved.

Fully Insured

Current, full insurance coverage across the team — your property and the crew are protected for the whole job.

Equipment Warranties

Manufacturer coverage typically 10–25 years on panels and inverters. Exact terms are stated in your written proposal.

Workmanship Guarantee

Our labor is warranted separately from the equipment, with permitting, inspection, and interconnection handled for you.

Know Before You Buy Solar

Solar is a big decision, and we want you to make it with clear eyes. These are the consumer protections the U.S. Treasury and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau say every buyer should understand — we agree, and we hold ourselves to them.

Read Everything, in Writing

Get every price, interest rate, fee, and payment schedule in a written contract before you sign. Never sign a blank or incomplete document, and keep a copy. If a promise isn't in the contract, treat it as not made.

Savings Are Not Guaranteed

Be cautious of anyone promising "guaranteed" savings, or a low teaser payment that jumps in later years. Real savings depend on your usage, utility rates, sun, and the system — our online estimate is a ballpark, not a promise.

Ownership Decides the Tax Credit

Buy the system (cash or loan) and you own it and may claim the federal credit and incentives, subject to your tax situation. With a lease or PPA, the provider owns the system and typically keeps those incentives. This is not tax advice — talk to a tax professional.

Understand Liens & Selling Your Home

Some financing (for example, PACE) can place a lien on your property that may take priority over your mortgage and affect selling or refinancing. Always ask whether any financing puts a lien on your home before you agree.

You Have a Right to Cancel

For most in-home or door-to-door sales you generally have at least three business days to cancel in writing without penalty. We will never pressure you — take the time you need and get multiple quotes.

No High-Pressure Sales, Ever

Solar scams are against the law. We don't use urgency tactics, "today only" pricing, or pushy salespeople — that's the whole point of our self-service estimate. Verify licensing, insurance, and warranties before you commit.

How Albright Solar Is Paid

We make our money the honest way — as the company that brings your whole project together. We source the panels and parts, coordinate the certified installers and licensed electrical work, handle transportation and delivery, and manage the agreements, permitting, compliance, insurance, and bonding a solar project requires. Our margin is built into the equipment and work we provide, so the price we quote is the price — no hidden fees, no surprise charges, and no commission taken out of your pocket. When we recommend equipment, we recommend what fits your home and budget, not what pays us the most.

Honest Answers — Before You Ever Talk to Us

The questions worth asking up front, answered straight. Honest answers from you make your estimate more useful, but nothing here is a contract or an obligation.

Is the online estimate a real quote or a contract?
Neither. It is an automated ballpark generated only from the figures you enter. It is not a contract, not an offer, and not a firm price — it is subject to change and creates no obligation for you or Albright Solar. A real, firm quote requires a free consultation and a look at your actual roof and utility details.
Do you guarantee the savings the calculator shows?
No. Savings figures are illustrative and depend on your real usage, utility rate plan, roof, shading, weather, and future rate changes — none of which the estimator can see. We do not guarantee any specific savings amount. A real proposal will show assumptions you can review.
Why do you ask for honest inputs?
Honest answers give you a more accurate estimate — that is the only reason we ask. Your answers are not verified against your home and do not commit you to anything. Guessing is fine; the number just gets rougher.
Will my home definitely qualify for solar?
We can not promise that from an online form. Roof condition, age, orientation, shading, structural capacity, and your utility's interconnection rules all matter and are confirmed during a site assessment. Some homes need roof work first, and a few are not good candidates — we will tell you honestly either way.
What is a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), and how is it different from buying or leasing?
With a PPA, a third party owns the solar system installed on your roof, and you simply agree to buy the electricity it produces at a set price per kilowatt-hour — usually starting a bit below your utility's rate. There's typically little or nothing to pay upfront and maintenance is included, but there are trade-offs to understand: you do not own the system, so the federal tax credit and other incentives go to the provider, not you; the rate often rises a set amount each year (an "escalator"); it's a long-term contract (commonly 20–25 years); and it usually must be transferred to the buyer if you sell your home, which can affect the sale. A lease is similar — a third party owns and maintains the system — except you pay a fixed monthly amount to use it rather than paying per kilowatt-hour. Buying (cash or a loan) is the opposite: you own the system, you claim the tax credit and incentives (subject to your tax situation), and there's no third-party agreement — but it costs more upfront or is financed. None of these is "best" for everyone; read the full contract, compare the total long-term cost, and see the U.S. Treasury/CFPB guidance linked above before deciding.
Does applying for financing commit me to buy?
No. Financing is offered through third-party lenders and is subject to credit approval. Submitting an application does not obligate you to purchase, is not a commitment to lend, and does not guarantee approval. Rates and terms vary and are not guaranteed.
Who actually does the work, and are you insured?
Installation is performed by a certified solar installation partner and all electrical work by a licensed electrician. Every partner on the team carries current certifications and full insurance coverage. Permitting, inspection, and utility interconnection are handled as part of the job.
What warranties apply?
Equipment carries the manufacturer's warranty (panels and inverters typically 10–25 years depending on product), and workmanship is warranted separately. Exact terms are stated in your written proposal — not here — so you can review them before signing anything.
Do you offer a production guarantee?
A production guarantee is a separate promise that your system will produce at least a set percentage of its estimated first-year output, with a credit if it falls short. It's something we can discuss and, where offered, put in writing in your proposal with its own defined terms. It is not included or promised by this page or the online estimate, and the estimate's numbers are not a guarantee of production — ask us and we'll tell you exactly what's available for your system.
