VP, Engineering

Level: VP Department: Engineering Location: Florida HQ / Remote-OK Classification: W-2

Mission

Own engineering execution across BrightFlow, Albright Studios, Albright Holdings, and platform infrastructure. Build the engineering org that ships product weekly and operates 24x7 at trading-grade reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Hire, mentor, and manage engineering managers and principal engineers
  • Set the technical roadmap in partnership with product and the CEO
  • Own production reliability, on-call posture, and incident response
  • Drive technical decisions across cloud, K8s, ML infra, and data platforms
  • Establish engineering standards: code review, testing, deployment, SLOs
  • Partner with security on SOC2 / CMMC technical controls
  • Represent engineering to the board, customers, and federal auditors

Required qualifications

  • 10+ years engineering experience; 5+ years managing managers
  • Track record scaling an engineering org from <20 to 50+
  • Hands-on background in distributed systems, cloud, and modern data infra
  • Experience operating production systems with strict SLAs

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience at a federal-services or fintech company
  • Familiarity with K8s, Postgres, Triton/NVIDIA AI infra
  • Prior VP Engineering or Head of Engineering role
  • Secret clearance or eligibility
