Tech Lead — Space + Travel Ventures

Level: Senior Department: Ventures Location: Florida HQ / Remote-OK Classification: W-2

Mission

Own technical evaluation and engineering coverage for Albright's Space + Travel venture area. Build the analytical depth and engineering relationships that make Albright a credible federal and commercial partner in this vertical.

Responsibilities

  • Track technical developments across launch, satellite, and air-mobility leaders
  • Author technical briefs and diligence memos on venture targets
  • Lead technical scoping for venture-coverage proposals and partnerships
  • Build engineering relationships at portfolio and target companies
  • Partner with the Aerospace Systems Analyst on capability mapping
  • Represent Albright at industry forums (Space Symposium, SmallSat)
  • Inform internal R&D priorities based on venture signal

Required qualifications

  • 5+ years engineering experience with aerospace, space, or aviation systems
  • Strong systems-thinking and technical-writing chops
  • Comfort across hardware and software disciplines
  • Ability to translate technical depth into executive-ready briefs

Preferred qualifications

  • Prior role at a launch provider, satellite operator, or aerospace prime
  • Background in mission systems or GN&C
  • Active Secret clearance
  • Florida base
