Tech Lead — Security Ventures

Level: Senior Department: Ventures Location: Florida HQ / Remote-OK Classification: Federal-Cleared W-2

Mission

Own technical evaluation and engineering coverage for Albright's Security venture area — cybersecurity tooling, defense systems, and the federal-security ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Track technical developments across cybersecurity and defense systems
  • Author technical briefs and diligence memos on venture targets
  • Lead technical scoping for security-vertical federal opportunities
  • Build engineering relationships at defense and cyber-tech targets
  • Partner with Defense Industry Analyst on capability mapping
  • Represent Albright at industry forums (RSA, Black Hat, AFCEA TechNet)
  • Inform internal R&D priorities based on security signal

Required qualifications

  • 5+ years engineering in cybersecurity, defense systems, or both
  • Strong systems-thinking and technical-writing chops
  • Working knowledge of the federal security ecosystem
  • Active Secret clearance

Preferred qualifications

  • Top Secret / SCI clearance
  • Prior role at a cyber vendor, defense prime, or IC contractor
  • Background in offensive security or detection engineering
  • Florida or DC-metro base
