Chief Operating Officer

Level: C-Suite Department: Executive Location: Florida HQ / Remote-OK Classification: W-2

Mission

Own day-to-day operational execution across all Albright Laboratories business units. Translate the CEO's strategy into measurable, repeatable operating cadence that gets the company to profitability and federal-services scale.

Responsibilities

  • Run weekly business-unit reviews; own the company-wide operating cadence
  • Build and maintain the operating plan, KPI dashboards, and capacity models
  • Hire, mentor, and manage VPs across engineering, sales, federal, and operations
  • Steward vendor relationships, facility decisions, and back-office systems
  • Partner with CFO on annual planning and quarterly resource reallocation
  • Lead M&A integration playbooks for venture acquisitions and tuck-ins
  • Codify the playbook so the company can scale beyond the founder

Required qualifications

  • 10+ years operating leadership in software, federal services, or both
  • Track record taking a company from <$10M to $50M+ in ARR or revenue
  • Experience with federal contracting compliance (FAR, DCAA, GSA Schedules)
  • Strong financial fluency — comfortable in P&L, cap tables, and unit economics

Preferred qualifications

  • MBA or equivalent operating experience
  • Prior COO or General Manager role at a venture-backed company
  • Experience operating under SOC2 / FedRAMP / CMMC compliance regimes
  • Florida base or willingness to anchor in Florida HQ part-time
