Chief Financial Officer

Level: C-Suite Department: Finance Location: Florida HQ / Remote-OK Classification: W-2

Mission

Own the financial backbone of Albright Laboratories — GAAP-compliant books, cash management, federal cost-accounting readiness, fundraising support, and the financial model that informs every major decision.

Responsibilities

  • Own GAAP financial statements, monthly close, and audit readiness
  • Build DCAA-compliant cost-accounting practices for federal contracting
  • Manage cash, treasury, and debt facilities; partner with bank relationships
  • Lead fundraising preparation — data room, model, lender/investor diligence
  • Hire and manage Controller, AP/AR, and FP&A staff
  • Partner with COO on annual budget and quarterly reforecast
  • Establish R&D tax credit and federal IR&D capture program

Required qualifications

  • 10+ years finance leadership; 3+ years as CFO or VP Finance
  • CPA or equivalent technical accounting depth
  • Experience with federal-contractor cost accounting (FAR Part 31, DCAA)
  • Track record running an audit (SOC2, financial, or DCAA)

Preferred qualifications

  • Prior CFO at a federal-services or B2B SaaS company
  • Experience taking a company through a Series A or B raise
  • Working knowledge of GovCon-specific tools (Unanet, Deltek, Costpoint)
  • Florida base or willingness to anchor in Florida HQ part-time
